The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the transfer and posting of 82 officers from the Pakistan Customs Service (BS-17-21), including several senior officials such as Chief Collectors and Collectors of Customs. The move, which is effective immediately, comes as part of a broader restructuring initiative.
According to three separate notifications issued by the FBR on Tuesday, Muhammad Ali Raza Hanjra, previously serving as Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement in Lahore, has been appointed as Project Director for the Integrated Transit Trade Management System (ITTMS) at FBR’s headquarters.
In another major move, Irfan-ur-Rehman Khan, Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement Balochistan in Quetta, has been reassigned to the position of Member (Legal & Accounting-Customs) at FBR’s headquarters in Islamabad. This change follows the retirement of the previous incumbent in the role.
Additionally, Muhammad Mohsin Rafiq, who was serving as Director General (OPS) at the Directorate General of Transit Trade in Karachi, has been promoted to Chief Collector (OPS) at the Exports & Input / Output Co-Efficient Organization (IOCO) in Karachi.
The restructuring is aimed at optimizing the efficiency of Pakistan’s customs operations and enhancing service delivery across the country.
